I can't believe how well RSH&A took care of my mother who had an A/C failure during the hottest days in San Diego in the last couple of years. As an Insurance Adjuster I deal with many contractors and the service received from RSH&A ranks among the best of any contractor I have ever done business with.

Ed and Glen were amazing, very personable and professional. We had just bought a new home in San Diego and the AC was very old and didn't work. We needed a new AC installed. We were a bit worried because we have never purchased a new central air system before. Ed and Glen walked us through the entire process and made us feel much more comfortable. We scheduled the installation for the upcoming Saturday, the install team was very respectful and completed the entire installation in just a day. We also had them install a new nest thermostat and they taught us how to use it. Awesome service!

While this may appear to be a difficult task, technological advancement has put such information at your fingertip, which means through a simple search, you can obtain as much information as is available about the HVAC contractor of your choice. To ensure the credibility of the HVAC contactor search, below are some of the thing you should know.
WHERE CAN I FIND AN HVAC CONTRACTOR IN SAN DIEGO?
Getting an HVAC contractor to handle your air conditioning and heating needs such as furnace repair in San Diego can be a daunting task, however, there are a few platforms and bodies that can be reached out to in order to ensure that you make the best possible decision. As part of your search for a credible HVAC contractor, you can check the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) which is a non-profit organization that comprises of over 60,000 HVAC professionals and more than 4,000 businesses that handle indoor environment field and energy services. ACCA can help you look for the best, top quality contractors in the area of interest amid its members. This is one of the surefire ways to ensure that you make the best decisions.Should you feel unsatisfied using the platform mentioned above, you may proceed to read online listing and reviews pages which gives ratings and reviews of businesses based on the quality of services they provide. Such open source website allows you pick from them multitude of HVAC contractors in the area to ensure that you get the best services.Another option which seems to work better for most people is to seek local recommendations and referrals. Seeking local recommendations from family, friends and colleagues at work ensures that you get top quality and first hand reviews from them and this also prepares your mind with regards to the quality of service to be expected from the HVAC contractor.
USING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
After thinning down the list of HVAC contractors to handle your heating repair in San Diego, another way to ensure that you choose the best of the lot is by seeking the consumer ratings of each of the HVAC service provider on the Better Business Bureau platform. To ensure that you make the best choice, contact your local BBB office with inquiries about the HVAC contractors on your list.After settling down for a choice, there is the need to ensure that your preferred HVAC contractor has the required documents which make them qualified to handle the job. Below are the essential documents that your HVAC contractor must possess before awarding your air conditioning installation in San Diego to them.
  1. Licensing: The licensing possessed by your HVAC contractor in may depend on the state where the business is located. In most states, a HVAC contractor may be required to obtain licenses from the state, municipality, or county where the business is located. To award such licenses as this, the issuing body requires a form of certificate showing that the contractor has passed examinations and technical HVAC training. To get the state specific requirement or check whether or not your HVAC contractor is licensed, check the Contractor’s License Reference Site and National Contractors website.
  2. Bonding: Your HVAC contractor must be fully bonded which means that they must have a contract license surety bond. This serves as a precaution against unfair treatment and dealing and also serves as a financial insurance for the HVAC contractor in case something goes wrong. Bonding is a prerequisite for getting licensure in most states and as such, the ownership of a license may indicate that your HVAC contractor is fully bonded.
  3. Worker’s compensation insurance: This insurance policy caters the needs of workers and technicians hired by the HVAC company especially in the case of accidents on the job. Hiring the service of an HVAC contractor who has worker’s compensation ensures that you are absolved of the financial responsibilities associated with damages and accidents on your property by the staff.
  4. Credentials: Credentials are requirement for obtaining bonding and licensure, however, you may choose to demand to know where the HVAC contractor had trained. It is also important and recommended that you seek to know the experience of the HVAC contractor with regards to maintenance, installation and air conditioning repair in San Diego.
After certifying that the HVAC contractor of choice has the above listed documents and requirement, there is the need to also demand a contract of the job they are about to perform on your property. Demanding a contract enables you know the extent of services being offered by the contractor and how much is being charged for each of the services to be provided. When hiring the services of an HVAC contractor, there is the need to take proper care that you demand for written estimates of the services to be performed as this can help you make claims in the case you feel you’ve been ripped off. When demanding a contract from your HVAC contractor, ensure that it contains all the essential details of the project including;
  • All the details related to the project including dates which the work will be started and duration of project
  • A thorough breakdown of the service and labor cost including possible equipment cost
  • Payment due dates
  • Warranty information on services rendered.
